Fri - 50th day of school - dress us in 50s clothes
📆 OCTOBER PTA MEETING
Tuesday October 20th at 5:30pm in person at the Parents Center and on Zoom
This meeting is hybrid online/in person and will be our only in person meeting this year!
We will be offering childcare for those of you who can attend in person, register here.

🚙 VOLUNTEER FOR THE SCHOOL SAFETY VALET
Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 8:00am
The school needs some parent volunteers to help at the drop off valet in the morning to help the line run smoothly!

Mon, Wed, Thurs 2:30-5:30pm, Tues 1:30-5:30,
and Friday 9:30am - 11am & 2:30 - 4pm

🎃 HALLOWEEN COSTUME PARADE
Friday October 30th 8:30am in the yard
Come and watch the Bobcats show off their costumes at our annual Halloween parade!
Prizes will be awarded by the PTA for best costumes!
👻 TRUNK OR TREAT
Friday October 30th 1:30-2:30pm in the yard
The PTA and the STEM Booster Club are teaming up to bring a Trunk or Treat to Buchanan this spooky season!
We need LAUSD cleared parent volunteers to help decorate cars!
If you are interested in helping with your class' car, please let your room rep know ASAP!
🎨 REFLECTIONS SUBMISSION DEADLINE
Friday November 6th
This is an annual art contest put on by the National PTA.
The 2026-2027 theme is “What My Culture Means To Me” and students can submit art pieces of Dance,
Film, Music, Literature, Photography, Visual Arts (painting, drawing, etc).
Their art piece might touch on their ancestry, heritage or on a tradition passed down through generations.
Or they can reflect on how culture influences their personality, school, neighborhood or chosen community.
